A new spell for D&D 5th - Thunderlance

There you can find a new spell to use on your D&D campaign.

It's a versatile spell which makes two different kinds of damage and can be used to absorb darts of a magic missile spell, thus increasing the damage caused by your own spell.

Thunderlance
4th-level evocation spell

Casting Time: 1 action
Range: 60 ft
Components: V, S
Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute or until thrown
Description: You create in one of your hands a spear of pure magical energy. You can throw it at any creature you can see within range the same turn you cast the spell or, by taking your action, in one of your following turns. Make a ranged spell attack. On a successful hit, the target takes 6d4 force damage. Hit or miss, the spear then explodes loudly. The target and any creature that can hear it within 20 feet must make a Constitution saving throw. They take 3d6 thunder damage and are deafened until the end of their next turn on a failed save or half of that damage and no other ill effects on a successful one. While you hold the spear with your hand, you can use your reaction to absorb darts of magic missile spell directed to you. The target hit by the spear takes 1d4+1 additional force damage for each dart you have absorbed.
On Higher Levels:
When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the thunder damage of the explosion increases of 1d6 for each slot level over 4th.
